Dear Dennis, Pat and family,
We are saddened to read of Jack's passing. He left a lasting mark on Wetaskiwin - one that you can always remember with pride. Unfortunately we are out of town and cannot attend the memorial service today. Our sympathy is with you. We'll call on you when we return home.

I have lost a wonderful friend, a man whose dedication to his community knew no bounds. I became acquainted with him first during his tenure as Mayor of Wetaskiwin and our involvement with the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association, and our friendship grew during our mutual connection with the North-Am International Snowmobile Races and Winter Carnival. He was a decisive and forward thinking individual, but he also had a good sense of humor.
I will miss him.

Jack was a tremendous employer and mentor of mine. I remember my time at Wetaskiwin Implements fondly and cherish the lessons learned. My condolences go out to Dennis, Don and the rest of the family.
