Dear Family of my old shipmate: My condolences. I served aboard the USS Lipan ATF with "Ski," as we called him. We were in the H-bomb tests in the Marshall Atolls together in 1956 during Operation Redwood. We were also on Adak in the Aleutian Islands. We were stationed in Pearl Harbor and often went on liberty together. John said he was in the army, at one time, but I don't have any details on that. When his emails stopped coming back, I checked further.
He is missed.
