Strange how the universe works, I grew up in Springtown and Shire Court three houses up from where John lived in the 80s 90s 2000s and I used to mow his lawn for 10 bucks once a week, I thought it was so cool that his name was John Rambo he would laugh... no here around 50 years old a friend of mine came by on a motorcycle that reminded me of the movie first blood and I told him John Rambo called the city. He wants his motorcycle back.. got me, wondering about the real John Rambo, my old friend my dad worked at the lab and knew him too. That´s what I did the search and saw that he just passed away glad he had a good long life. He was a good neighbor. My condolences to his surviving relatives..

Rest in Peace John Rambo

I remember when Susan brought John to meet me, his second cousin once removed. (We shared my great, great-grandmother Harriet Gilfillan, granddaughter of an immigrant from Balfron, Scotland.) I found John to be a very interesting descendant of my grandmother's sister Kate Clough and William "Eagle" Rambo, missionaries to India and relief workers in Turkey. Although I didn't know him well, John's work in nuclear containment seems to me to have been quite important, and I am very glad to have a connection to him. Best, Gay Quimby Auerbach

Peggy remembers him dating Winnie and coming to the Griffiths' home for dinner - now and then. I hope he enjoyed Rose's roast beef basted potatos as I. He was my only brother-in-law for awhile. He will be missed.
