Dear Roberts Family,
Sorry to hear of Jack's illness and passing. He was my leader and mentor as the first Burns Harbor Manager of Technology that included Environmental Control. I too have many fond memories of Jack during 1970's through 1980's at BH.

Please accept my sympathy at this time of loss in the death of John Roberts, Husband, Father, and Grandfather. I was the Dining Room Supervisor at the Bethlehem Steel Club while he was the General Manager of the Bethlehem Steel at Bethlehem, PA. Your family was always so gracious when you were at the club. I also worked with Margaret at Southern Lehigh School District at this time. My special greetings to Peggy. I have retired from Southern Lehigh after thirty five years last June of 2007, and am now the Pastor of the Hungarian Evangelical Reformed Church of Bethlehem, PA for the past 19 years. Again, my sympathy and God Bless you all in your time of sorrow. Rev. Ron Hari

Dear Roberts Family,
So sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I have many fond memories of Jack during the 1960's when we worked on the Burns Harbor Project. I can see him now, sitting in the rear seat of the early morning flights we took from ABE to Pittsburgh. Laughing and joking with us all, he made our lives a little brighter. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Rosemary,
Although Father Time and distance have dimmed our relationship, I think of Jack often. He was a special person and Lois and I share your grief. May you and your family have many happier days ahead.

I was so saddened to hear of your father's passing. Although many years have passed since I have seen him, I have always felt so grateful that the BS brought your family to Bethlehem and your friendship into my life.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jack was deeply admired by me. We had plenty of good times at the Slab Mill at Burns Harbor and at the old trailer Club house at the supervisors club in Chesterton.
Silently following Jack's carreer after his retirement, he will be missed.

Dear Rosemary and Roberts Family,
Please know you have Lynne and my sincere condolences. Working closely with Jack at the SPt Plant was one of highlights of my career with Bethlehem Steel. The huge obstacles for success there were only a challenge for Jack and he emphasized team constantly while calling on all of our energy to innovate. Although our association went back to the Burns Harbor days it was while working more closely with him that I got to understand his determination, grit and love for life and family.
Viewing the White House was a neat surprise he sprung on us one day (while John was working there). It was a memorable event for us. Our best to your continued joy of life....I know how much he loved his family and was so proud of their growth in intellect over the years.
Sincerely,
Leon and Lynne Harbold

Dear Mrs. Roberts, Kathy, John, Peggy and Barb,
Please know that you and your entire family are in our prayers. I have very fond memories of Mr. Roberts, especially when I was a teenager hanging out with Barbie in MC. He always had a big smile on his face and a great sense of humor; I see these traits and qualities in each one of his children! It was very apparent to me that he loved his family and was very proud of each one of you. You are blessed to have had such a wonderful father and husband. Keep smiling.
Love,
Bob & Mary Beth Lowe
