I met Coach JR when he coached at USC. I later reconnected with him at the Rams. The DDS I worked with was the Rams wDDS for 5 great years until they left for St.Louis. His step daughter was also a Dental Hygienist who worked in my building. This was a Navy pier before the Bush Push game. He was one in a million!! RIP Coach .

I'VE FOLLOWED THE RAMS CLOSELY FROM THEIR EXCITING SUPERBOWL GAME VS Steelers in Pasadena Jan of 1980 when Bradshaw was just about perfect especially when it came to the deep ball. My dad taught me sportsmanship that game and I love all RAMS coaches but of my very favorites was John. JOHN Robinson was an incredible sport especially during a loss amd was one coach all coaches respected immensely because he would credit and congratulate the other team and turning their "RAMS negative outcome losing the game into a positive to shining a light on the winners amd he mentioned being grateful that other teams that beat them actually helped them by exposing weaknesses that they could focus on and in the end making them a better team. Now that is a good sportsman,...sportsmanship,.. a great sportsman who will be recognized and remembered for ages to come.

Thank you coach Robinson.
You are incredibly loved and blessed. Thank you for etching a positive influence in my life.

Unbeknownst to me (that he hired my dad) I believe it was the Spring of 1976. my mom, dad, (Hudson Houck) and my self went over to meet the Robinsons at their home in Northern California. I can remember the first of two people
I met were Coach Robinson and then his son David then the rest of the family. [At the time of meeting my parents were only dating]. Then the rest was history, My dad was thr first man he hired when he was assembling his coaching staff at USC. My dad was coaching at Stanford at the time. My God rest your soul, Coach Robinson, you were a great coach and great mentor. Thank you for the memories that I missed so dearly!

I first met Coach Robinson in 1979 where as the Head Coach @ USC, I received a Football Scholarship. A very sharp HC & compassionate man, who truly loved the game. He will be missed. "FIGHT ON" -David Adams 1979-1980 Seasons.

Coach Robinson was an old school Coach. He taught us players how to be professional and treated us like men and not kids. It was a pleasure to play for him.

I had the honor and pleasure to meet John Robinson after a Rams practice in Anaheim, along with my late boss Hank Stram. He was personable and a very successful football coach both at USC, UNLV and with the Rams. He will always be appreciated. My condolences to his family.
