JOHN R.
Age 78, peacefully at his Kennedy Twp. home surrounded by his family, formerly of Ingram, on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Husband of the late Janet (Cutler) Schiller; beloved father of Stephen (Thelma) Schiller, Patty (Chas) Backus, Rob (Beth) Schiller, Vickie (Kevin) Lee, Gregory (Mary) Schiller, Stacy (Doug) Hunter, Melissa (Jeff) Schiller-Skelley, Melanie (Mark Englert) Schiller and Angela (Steven) Dawkin; dear grandfather of Arthur, Jason, Jordan, Ashley, and Joshua Schiller, Adam, Samantha, Sarah (Chris) Backus, Brenna (Ian), Keatyn (Jesse) Lee, Maura, Ben and Logan Hunter, Grayson Englert, Paighton and Chase Dawkin and the late Garrett Englert; two great- grandchildren; brother of Audrey Brandebura, Rita McGinnis, Joseph, Alan and the late Richard Schiller; also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was a US Army veteran, a former employee of Defense Logistics with the US Government for over 25 years, an active member of the Green Tree Chapter Silver Sneakers. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Visitation Thursday 6-8 p.m. Friday 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the SCHEPNER - McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. Mass of Christian Burial 12 noon Saturday in Ascension Roman Catholic Church where John was a longtime member and former lector. Burial will be with military honors in Resurrection Cemetery.

Mr. Schiller was my baseball coach for 4 years many years ago. He was the best coach I ever had. A kind and compassionate person. My prayers are with all of you.
