People say "it takes time"....for me time has become more painful. In losing you I have found that time has made me more and more aware of the fact that you are not coming home.
I open the door or walk from room to room and you're not there. Each day time is causing me more pain. You are in everything in my life from the smallest to the largest. While I would love to have you here with me.....l love you too much to have you go through living everyday knowing there was no hope physically. Our only hope is in Christ Jesus. You are at peace and one day we will be together again. Until then, I will continue to rely on the Lord to get me through each day. HE is faithful. HE is my hope and my salvation.
Love always and forever.

I had the pleasure of working together with John at Little Harbor for several years. John was most definitely a "value add" as he used to say. John was an employee, co-worker, mentor and friend. We shared many stories and laughs. I miss him and his smile and great advice. John loved life, God, Joy, his children and grandchildren. Life well lived, John.

The light of you smile will keep this candle lit in my heart. One day we will blow it out together. ..we will not need it when we live in Our Father's Kingdom.

There is not a day that goes by that I do not mourn you. I can say this because the Bible says "Jesus wept" I can feel you in the sunset and when it rains I will feel you in my tears. I love you.
Remember, I will love you always and forever

I had John and Joy out to the ranch for a visit one day. It was social with an additional element of me providing John with some nutritional advice to bolster his immune system to fight his cancer. I had austere diet guidelines for him which he promised to strictly abide by. As an encouragement and incentive I brought out some tasty banana bread---made with organic whole wheat pure olive oil and black walnuts. As John was enjoying the bread, smiling he commented, "That's not to bad with a little butter too." He then quickly lost the smile as if to say, "forget I said that." Even though this event was well post-diagnosis, it points out John's spirit was alive and well! I'm going to remember him smiling with a mouthful of banana bread.

John and Joy are my very best friends for many years now. I love them dearly. I will miss him, but this is not "goodbye" , just " see you soon on the other side". I know that John and Doug are having a grand reunion now, talking a mile a minute.

So sorry for your loss. We met him several times through our friend, his son John Rogstad. Such a nice, caring man. Suffering no more, home with Jesus now.

I have been truly blessed to have you in my life Grandpap. You raised me and taught me the lessons in life, and made me to be the man I am today. You were a father, mentor, best friend, role model and the hero I idolized as a child. Whenever I needed you, you were always there; and you will always remain a part of me. I will always have the memories, guidance and traditions to carry on. I love you, we all do...

John taught me much about how business worked and how to work with customers. I haven't seen him for years, but I'll never forget how his smile would light up a room when he walked in it. May he rest in peace.

I am at a loss for the words to express my inner feelings regarding a "True Friend". One side of me feels the heartfelt pain to lose a great friend and the other side of me says, " John has been called by his Father, Jesus Christ to join him in heaven and be a humble servant to help a great number of people". John is at peace now knowing that he can continue to help others 10 fold. Joy, please know that Sandy and I are here for you. If you need anything at all, please call us. Good Bye My Friend.
