John M. Sell

John M. Sell, age 91, of Venice, Florida, passed away on December 20, 2008. He was born on October 6, 1917 in Logansport, Indiana. He was a Chemical Engineer with General Motors in Anderson, Indiana for 25 years and Indianapolis for 11 years and retired in 1977 and later moved to Venice, Florida in 1978. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII (Okinawa) and a member of the Genealogical Society of Sarasota and Grace United Methodist Church in Venice. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean E. Sell; three children, Susan E. Pistolakis of Brick, New Jersey, David E. Sell of Sammamish, Washington, Jeffrey A. Sell of West Bloomfield, Michigan and a sister-in-law, Rae Kinn of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. He also leaves behind four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Village on The Isle in Venice at a later date. Burial will be held in Venice Memorial Gardens.
