John Leif Selvig

Such sad news. I have such happy memories of Johnny. He was a very good friend of my children, Robert, Jen and Brad Buffalow. ALWAYS with a smile on his face when l'd see him. Such a sweetheart. He'll be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.

I went to Homestead Elementary with John, and remember him as a terrific kid. He was good to others, fun to be with, and had a touch of mischief in him too. For a time he was the resident entrepreneur, riding his bike off campus during lunch to buy candy at the local drug store and charging quite a markup to his classmates for the odd Chunky Bar or Lick-M-Aid. (We were all happy to pay for the service!) I have not seen John since fifth grade, and he is frozen in my mind as a spunky 10 year-old. Still, I have fond memories of John and am so sorry to hear of his death, and for the loss those who love him are experiencing right now.
