Dear Alison and family!

I was saddened to hear of John's passing, and hearing of it just now brought back a flood of wonderful memories of this great statesman, dipomat and gentleman. He was a consummate gentleman, never saying a mean or unkind word about anyone. He was loved dearly by all in the CCAF program, and by all the CCAF Fellows. Some are with the audit office still in Dhaka where I am working; they are saddened by his passing.
And he could not have had a more beautiful or wonderful wife than you, Alison!
Bless you all during this difficult time, and beyond.

My Thoughts to All members of the Sharpe family. I meant John when he first came to us at the manor, I truly enjoyed his quick wit. Which you never knew when it was going to pop up. I remember taking him back to his room one day. And noticing his great achievements that where reveiled on his wall threw his awards and the family pics. Which he sat and chatted about very proudly. i was saddened to hear of his passing but i know he will never be forgotten and always looked up to . Blessing wishes to the family and friends who are left behind .

I have so many fond memories of John, having worked with him for over ten years. John was always kind, always courteous and had a great sense of humour and fun! We had a good many laughs over the years and I am sad to see him go. He was both a gentle man and a gentleman and will be missed by many of his colleagues and the many many international people he worked with over the years.

To Alison and family :

" Words, however kind, can't mend your heartache:
but those who care and share your loss wish you
comfort and peace of mind.
May you find strength in the love of family
and in the warm embrace of friends."

Alison and family

I am sad to hear of John's passing. He was a true gentleman with a keen sense of humor.

I had the pleasure of working with John (affectionately known as "Dear John" to us at CCAF) in the International Fellowship Program. He was a patient man who showed compassion, understanding and fairness to people he worked with from all over the world - a quality that we can all learn from.

So long "Dear John" you will be missed by many.
