John Daniel Shearin III

I remember John Shearin, as Lt. Finn in Hunter, rest in peace.

I am completely shocked to learn of John’s passing. We worked together years ago...and he was so much fun... and full of life! RIP sweet man...and my deepest condolences to his family.

good man , good actor, good person

John was such a lovely man, and a wonderful talent. He brought such joy and passion to his work. I so enjoyed working with him, and will always be thankful of that time. I send Jennifer and his children my condolences, and pray that they will have peace in their hearts. God Speed John.

Bob, john's younger brother, and I were best friends in HS. We still are.... John was a lot of fun to be around. Many great memories!

My deepest sympathy to Dr. Shearin's family. I remember him fondly during my time with the School of Communication. May he sleep in eternal peace.

Prayers for all those left to miss him. John was a mentor and inspiration to our daughter during her time in the Dept of Theatre and Dance at ECU. We will always appreciate his part in her education and are better for knowing him.

I knew John through the Friends of ECU theatre. My family hosted his out of town actors on occasion. John was a gentle kind man that I respected. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
