So sorry to have heard of this. I always enjoyed pizza at the Sherwood's. Shadow, the family dod, would always jump up on the table and over and over again mr Sherwood would yell " lie down dog". It was always hard for me to finish a meal I just couldn't stop laughing. A good man. My condolences to all the Sherwood's. I'm so sorry guys.

From high school on, John was always bigger than life- both literally and figuratively! The sound of his laugh was only exceeded by the size of his heart. Our loss is heavens gain.

I want to offer my deepest condolences to the entire Sherwood family, especially to all of Chief Sherwood's sons who I had the opportunity to work with at one time or another. Your dad was my first Captain when I joined the Sheriff's Office in 1995. He taught me all the in's and out's in his own special way. The knowledge he gave me will forever be appreciated. May he rest in peace in the arms of God.

Your booming voice, political acuity, emails, wit and incredible hospitality...We miss you already!

My condolences to "Jack's " family. I have fond remembrances of him at the Monmouth Race Track, and of course as a classmate in St. Benedict's, many years ago.

So glad I stopped over the Belmar house just a few days ago and had coffee and conversation. Ill miss your text messages, your opinions, your strong spirit. I know your sons will take good care of Bea and they will,carry on your legacy. Will always remember our teenage beach days and lots more. Shine down on your family and smile, you did a fine job!
