I met tim back around 1993 when i was working at motorola.tim just had real charisma that's the only word that comes to mind.i wish i had been around him more to learn.i rarely saw him though out the years.i would call every so often when i got stuck on something.i remember he stopped his life and came over to teach me how to get a c-band dish to track.he wouldn't do it for me boy i worked long at it.when tim left i realized he graduated me on dish alignment.he was always good to take my calls on rare occassions.I'm very sad today to learn he has departed us but somehow i know tim would view this different.thank you tim.you would have never known this but i looked "up" to you.

Dear Danna,
I'm soo sorry for your loss. I know the heart ache of losing a spouse. But I have found that time heals and you will cherish the memories of you and Tim together.
I will always remember the good times growing up with Tim. From playing in Shingara Park that his father built when we were kids to graduating from high school, we were best buds. When I retired Tim inspired me to get back into Ham radio which I am great full for.

Wishing you hope in the midst of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain. Our late son, George Jr, was particularly impressed by Tim when they met at one of the cousins reunions at Beths house. Tim was a kind and thoughtful man and will be missed by many.

Tim was a man I could count on in more ways than one. He made himself available for work when I needed him most. While on the jobs he was positive and ALWAYS demonstrated his deep sense of caring for everyone around him. He always let me know he cared about me, not only during my tasks at hand but behind the scenes as well. If he ever identified something you never experienced, he would do what ever he could to make sure you experienced that which he had access too. He'd share his coal mining family with you and make it possible for you to experience Kowalone's kielbasa shop. He never get just a little of himself, he always gave it his ALL.

Tim was a tower of strength. A willing ear when you needed one. An encyclopedia of knowledge. An extra hand when help was needed. We thought he would always be there, and his passing has left a hole in many hearts. Farewell old friend. We will see you again in Valhalla.

SHINGARA family, Tim was a lman larger than ice.n He was a man who was my Superman, when I needed help cleaning out all the stuff in my garage and basement, he was there for weeks helping me, if not for him and my son in law, I could never have completed or maybe even started that task, he and Danna, picked me in the snow. When Jerry passed they were there for me. He will be missed.

I am so very shocked and deeply saddened over the sudden death of Tim. I have been friends with him and the wonderful Shingara family for 63 years. Tim was a great person and will be sorely missed by all who knew him, but knowing that he's in a much better place will give us hope and comfort. Will see you again, Tim, in the new kingdom.

Dear Danna and family, my deepest condolances and may you find a strength to carry on and get through these terrible days. Tim was a very frequent visitor here in Iceland, actually so frequent that he had become kind of a native, and seeing him in his Icelandic sweater was more symbolic of a viking then any person that I know of. I got to know Tim when he was travelling here in Iceland and Tim had spotted a radio station, AM666 that we had started at RUV, the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service, the equivalent to NPR in the US. Actually, we had a lot of struggle to get there when Tim came a long and was the greatest inspiring force to the success of that station. Tim, his music and AM666 in Iceland will always been very tightly connected. Goodbye my friend and thank you so much for all the inspiration you gave us here at RUV in Iceland.

Tim was one of my favorite people. I met him in Hershey thru our stage hand work (I.A.T.S.E. local 98).I heard someone call him Shinny and it reminded me of a salesman who used to call on my parents business. Turns out that Shinny was Tin'z father.I loved when Shinny came into my parents business and I grew to love working with Tim. Tim knew so much about so much and I loved talking to him. During the past few years I worked along side him more often and he was a guy who could figure out most anything. He was generally very optimistic and provides balance to my less positive outlook Tim also modeled and always complimentary attitude about his wife and children. I never once heard a negative comment or story about his family. I will miss Tim. He was an important person in my life. I know I only suffer a small loss. His family suffers a great loss. Danna, Tommy and the rest, you have my condolences and prayers for your family.

Tim and Danna invited me into their home every week and were my alternate family for five years while I was stationed in Harrisburg. Your generosity and friendship will never be forgotten and can never be adequately repaid. Tim was a brilliant guy with eclectic interests. Conversations with Tim and Danna were always illuminating. Thank you for everything. I pray for his soul and for the comfort of Danna, Tommy and the whole family. - Bill K.
