Luba, we have only heard today of John passing we offer our sincere condolences to you, your family and John's family. John, was very unique and someone that once you met him you would never forget. We first met John at the Devonport Yacht Club, Auckland, New Zealand from there a special friendship developed. Buying and selling of Clear Cut time spend on the water, at the bar of the yacht club and many adventures around Auckland. John you gave us so many wonderful memories for which I thank you .
Tonight in your honour we will have that Rum with the Green Ginger Wine that you always enjoyed at the club.
Rest in Peace John.

My dearest Dr. Luba, I wish to convey my heartfelt sympathy and comforts to you, your family and friends of our late "John, the Druggist,"
My prayers, devotion, and thoughts are with you all. I wish you strength and determination to carry his graft vision with all the nutritional supplements lively. They are still protecting lives for many of us globally. May his soul rest in peace.
Take care of the profession and the grandchildren!
Sincerely,

Dearest Luba, I am heartbroken to learn, so long after the fact, that John passed away. I'm been thinking about him and was looking for his phone number to call when I found this obituary. He was a lovely, lovely person, generous to his core, and very kind to everyone, most especially me.
I worked with John on all his businesses, writing copy. When my family moved to Louisville, I worked another 3 years with him remotely. He was always kind and generous to us.
I hope his light shines bright in your life. My deepest sympathies to you and all who were fortunate to find themselves in John's orbit. The world is diminished without him in it.
Best wishes, MaryAnn Fitzharris

As a child growing up in Boulder a wonderful store opened up across the street from our home. The "Village Apothecary" It wasn't just a pharmacy, it was a magical place with hidden treasure's around every corner. Mr. Sichel knew me by name, you see there was a Navajo bracelet in the jewelry case I had my eye on for quite some time. MR. Sichel knew how much I loved that bracelet and told my mother about how much I loved it. He told her privately he would save it for her and that she could make small payment's on it until it was paid for. One day I walked in right up to the jewelry case and it was gone. Heartbroken I was. He looked at me with those big eye's of his and knew I was sad, he called my mom to say come pick up the bracelet and he gave it to her and told her that it was all paid for. I wore that bracelet everywhere and still have it today 46 years later. It was not until later that I found out what he had done. Thank you Mr. Sichel for making one little girl feel special every time she stepped into your Apothecary. Rest in Peace

It said to share A memory, but I have 75 years of them:
They start in 43 sharing a tent with Sich, Tom Pickering and 6 others at Troop 1s camp
Theres setting pins with him in the Elks Club
(and snitching scoops of ice cream on our way out)
Long hours and discussions at the Rutherford Republican
(and giving him a bike ride home at midnight)
I still enjoy the photo of us and our dates at the GA Rathskeller in NYC
(And remember the tragic accidental death at work of another of your dates)
Camping on an island in Lake George
Then there was the time that the Ramapo River exploded
Crashing at his place in Iowa between Univ of Colo and Donna in Ind
Playing with him and the kids in a Colo Springs mountain stream
Hearing him lament after his manufacturer told him he couldnt make the portable O2 device he was set to market
Tales of sailing problems in New Zealand
Visits in Boulder and north of Chicago
Del Immune and Del Pro when needed
Setting up a Hitting 80 class reunion
Sich, Sorry your St Lawrence Bucket List item never materialized, I tried..
My heart goes out to Luba and your kids, and those who shared day to day what I did across the miles
Thank you Sich for all we shared, wish it had been more
Like the Energizer Rabbit I always felt you would keep going and doing
I guess, in my thoughts, you still are.
I see you on your bike, riding off to your next project and wish you well

Share A memory... I have 75 years of them. From sharing a tent with Sich and Tom Pickering and 6 others at Troop 1 camp in '43,
Setting pins with him in the Elk's Club (and snitching scoops of ice cream as we left)
Long hours at the Rutherford Republican and giving him rides home on my bike at 1 AM
I enjoy the picture of us and our dates at Joe King Rathskeller in NYC
Camping on an island in Lake George
Then there was the time the Ramapo River exploded
The crashing at his place in Iowa halfway between Univ of Colo and Donna in Indiana
Playing with him and kids in a mountain stream west of Colorado Springs
Hearing him out when the manufacturer told him he couldn't make the promised portable O2 device
Tales of sailing problems in New Zealand
Visit in Boulder
DelImmune and DelPro when needed
Setting up and sharing an age 80 class reunion
and many other times of sharing
Like the Energizer rabbit I always felt he would just keep going, keep doing.
I guess, in my thoughts he still is...
Sorry that the St Lawerance bucket list item never materialized
My heart goes out to Luba and his kids, to those who shared day to day what I did across the miles. Thanks for all we shared, I see you riding off into your next project on your bike.
