Another year has flown by without you, but you live on in my heart always. Finally accepting that all living creatures must die, yet we might meet in another lifetime. Love always Ann

In Memoriam
In loving memory of John Edgar Simkin 12th February 1927 - 24th January 2014. You have been gone a year and the clocks did stop, but memories of our times together live on in my heart – you were my lover, mentor and dearest friend for 40 years. A librarian, indexer and bibliographer, you were a Renaissance man who loved all of the arts and left this world a richer place for having lived in it.

From The Age death notices: John Simkin was Chief Librarian for the City of Moorabbin from 4 July 1957 until 4 July 1990 and was committed to the highest professional standards and innovative library service. He was much loved by those in the profession who came into contact with him and was a popular member of our State Library reunion group
