John Charles Simonds

I am not surprised to hear John led a life of service to his community. He was one of my brother Lance´s friends who was always very sweet and kind, nice to be around. It was wonderful hearing he enjoyed Vashon, I was there once and it seemed idyllic! Condolences to the family.

I grew up with John in Kennewick, attended grade school thru high school together. In grade school, we would stop at his parents little grocery store load up on candy to and from school everyday. In our 20's we found our calling, John with the fire dept., me with the Kennewick P.D. we saw each other on a daily basis, either I would stop by the fire station he was working out of, or on the scene of a fire or vehicle accident. During our careers we saw some very unfortunate events. John I will always treasure our friendship and the memories we had together as kids and adults. RIP My Friend ! You will be missed !
