Dear Cindy and Family
I prayed for John everyday and I really believed there was a miracle for him. I don't have any consoling words to make your pain any easier.
I only think that the higher heaven needed more than we did.
I am so so sorry.for you all.
Our thoughts and our prayers will be with you

To the Stewart family, John was such a caring and beautiful person. He would always be smiling and joking at the Law Courts and went beyond his duty at his job. We talked about retirement, his trips to California and his fun outlook on life. I will miss you John. Julie Ulmer

I remember talking to John many times after work. We had conversations about having to change all the light bulbs in the courthouse. I saw him quite often and we would have a nice chat. Rest in Peace John. Condolences to your family and friends.

To the Stewart Family,
I worked with John at the Edmonton Law Courts for many, many years. He was someone you could call on at anytime and he would be there to help. Many of his drawings are displayed on the Judicial floors, and they will continue to bring fond memories to all of us of John working around the building and sharing a laugh and story while he scoped out the area for any goodies that may be sitting out. John will be dearly missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Cindy and Family,
I am saddened to hear about the passing of John. I will always remember the great conversations we had and stories we shared. He was man of great talent, a kind and gentle person who would do anything for anyone without complaining about it. His desire to collect items was so funny, he had a way to find "garage sales" no one even knew about. He sure enjoyed his treats, I remember you having to hide goodies so he wouldn't find them, he had quite the "Sweet Tooth". The world has lost one "Great" person, and hope the great times and memories you both shared together will over power the loss you are feeling at this time. Always remember that you have family and friends that are here to help you at this time of sorrow and please do not hesitate to call should you need assistance with anything I am here for you. May "John" rest in peace.
