I did not personally know Jack Sullivan, but my Dad did. My Dad would speak of Jack periodically when I was growing up. They were good friends growing up in Alhambra. My Dad just shared a story, today ( I didn’t realize Jack had passed) Jack and my Dad were Alter Boys and had signed up for the 7:00 am Mass. After that they would head to Huntington Beach, with packed lunches( my Dad conveyed they were big lunches- 2 to 3 sandwiches each) He said they would stay all day @ Huntington Beach and then Jack would drop my Dad off at home, where my Grandmother Bernacchi, would ask him to stay for dinner and Jack would reply , “I am not sure I am not that hungry and my mom will have dinner at home. Well okay, maybe just a little, then would continue to chow down a full plate and then head to his home for the second course:)
Sincere condolences to the Sullivan family!
