John R Taylor

Lewisberry - John R. Taylor, 73, of Lewisberry, passed away on August 18, 2025. He was born on July 10, 1952, in York, PA to the late Edward and Loretta Taylor. John was preceded in death by his brother Ralph and sisters Brenda and Ruth. He is survived by his wife Mary Alice Gillespie, daughters April Taylor Merovich and Holly Taylor and their families-sons-in-laws Dylan Merovich and Robert Jennings Kelly, grandsons Peyton Merovich, Tanner Merovich, and granddaughter Emma Kelly-as well as stepdaughter Wendy Etter, stepsons Chad Shambaugh and Nathan Gillespie, and their families, along with his brother Ed and his family. Services to be held privately with family.

John lived a full and vibrant life with many hobbies. At various stages throughout his life, you'd find him at his camp in the mountains, under the hood or behind the wheel at the racetrack, motoring around and fishing on the lake, or tinkering and building something custom in his workshop.
