John Thibault Obituary
John was born and raised in Lethbridge. He completed a B.Sc. and M.Sc. at the University of Lethbridge. Always passionate about science, John has been pursuing his PhD in medical microbiology at the University of Alberta.
We want to celebrate the ways that John has touched us all. John played many different roles. He was a loving son to Jim (Cathy) and Dereka (Bill), one-of-a-kind brother to Erin (Rob) and Ben (Kristin), brilliant and goofy cousin and uncle, and friend and superhero to many. Best of all, John was — in his own words — the luckiest husband having married the love of his life, Vicki (Mozgala).
A memorial service will be held at the Coast Hotel in Lethbridge, on Sunday May 18, 2014 from 2-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John's memory to the University of Alberta. Visit www.giving.ualberta.ca with a note that your donation is in memory of John Thibault to support Virology Research in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology.
John's nephew, Declan, said that he wishes there were more people in the world like John. We all do. Please help us to celebrate his life and our hero.

I was very sad to hear the news of John's passing. I went to school with him and though we were never close and I hadn't seen him since our school days, I remember him as a kind, gentle, easygoing and good-natured kid - and it sounds like those qualities only flourished as he grew up. To all of John's family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss.

Although we never spent much time within John, we doe send our condolences to both Jim and Dereka and their spouses. to lose a child before his time would be very painful and unimaginable.
