My brother, it's been 3 months since you've gone. Words can't describe the emptiness I feel. I go and see 2-3 times a week..and it hurts so bad. I've picked up the phone to call you countless times..only to realize ..your not gonna be there. This is so hard for me. I miss my brother. I'll see you soon brother John, just not yet. Got a few things left down here to do. Watch over me ,and guide me, ok cuz I miss you so bad..love you ,my brother..John Thing.

We were lucky to have had John stay with us on many occasions in NH. Though he was on vacation he was always asking to help with anything repair we might need, often offering advice on various maintenance/housekeeping ideas/remedies. Always went out of his way to be helpful and kind and will be sadly missed by all of us at Pemi Cabins.

We are so sorry for your loss. John was quick to lend a hand to help his neighbors in Malden, plowing sidewalks so kids could get to school, or offering an extra hand in any project a neighbor was working on. He was a good and kind soul.

My thoughts and prayers are with John's family as well as his co-workers and residents at the Congregational Retirement Homes. He will be sorely missed by all. His tireless efforts to maintain a safe, comfortable living environment for all will not be forgotten. As a member of the Board of the Congregational Retirement Homes I am truly grateful for his time with us and all of the extra effort put forth
over and above what was required of him.
Rest in Peace John.

John, I first met you as a 12 year old. You stuck out with your kind smile, sweet personality, and most of all, your wackiness. You always cracked me up. I remember watching you sneak up to a car on the corner of Cedar St. and Clifton St. and "Ski-patrol" all the way down Clifton...numerous times. You were hilarious. What really stands out is the wisdom you had at such a young age. You would sit and talk with me about life...I never forgot those times. You were like a big brother. My father and grandmother thought the world of you. I'm so thankful to have reconnected with you years later. I've got to say, you were amazing through your battle, staying optimistic when most would have given up. Your strong spirit remained awesome. You've touched so many people. I feel lucky to have known you. Shine on John. You made a difference in this world.

John always had a smile on his face. You only had to ask once for help. He was always there for me. I will miss him.
Chris, I am sorry for your loss.

Dear John,
I will miss your zest for life. For the years I worked at CRH, I can honestly say I enjoyed "most" of your silly antics with co-worker's and residents. To say the least, you made each work day interesting!
However, it was your unmatchable work ethic, skill and love for your job that impressed me most. I always left CRH at night with the secure feeling of knowing "John" would be there burning the midnight oil making sure his properties and residents were safe and comfortable.
If heaven ever has a maintenance contest, I know you will be the first to sign up...
Fondly remembered and missed,
Mary Means

Dearest Friends,
We are there with you today, in heart, in spirit, with abundant love. We hope that the pain of your loss is deminished by those memories of John that you hold close. Bob md I will always remember fondly time spent at Kathy and Pat's when John was there. Such a fun guy!! ( that's probably an understatement). Where ever John is now, I think it's safe to say that The shenanigans have begun! He will always be all around you, leave your hearts open to know when.

There are not enough words to describe what a wonderful person John was!
I felt that he was almost like one of my own sons to me, and, I always called him my son from another mother!
I will miss him terribly, as, will most of the people where I live, and that he was our maintenance man here....and than some....always going above and beyond his duties for us!
Loved you John, and I am glad that you are finally out of pain, but on the other hand, so very sad that you are gone!
May you Rest in Peace, and May Your Memory be of a Blessing!
