John Thompson Obituary
Mr. Thompson passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017.
Survivors include his mother, Eleanor Jane Thompson; sister, Brenda Owens; grandmother, Carolyn Crossley Garnett; nephews, Shannon Delaney and Christopher Owens; and nieces, Wendy Umetsu and Jennifer Chaplin.
He is preceded in death by his father, John B. Thompson; sister, Debbie Carol Delaney; brother, Jerome Bryant Thompson; and grandparents, H. Cooper Crossley, Nellie Crossley, Mary Wade Thompson, and Oliver Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was an avid Alabama fan who loved football. He was known as "Little John" back when he played football at the Boys' Club. He enjoyed cutting grass for people, and was a friendly person who loved everyone. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Keeping you and your family in my prayers. Little John will be missed, he was such kind friend with a heart of Gold. He was indeed a one of a kind, and touched everyones life who knew him, including me. May the God of LOVE and PEACE guard your hearts at this time of your great sorrow.

I had the pleasure of knowing "Little John", (as I referred to him) for only a short time, but it was a pleasure nonetheless. He always greeted me with a smile and an eagerness to help out in any way needed. John taught me a very valuabe lesson:. "Despite our obstacles, always be thankful for the many Blessngs, which we so often take for granted." Little John, although your time here was cut tragically short, I see you in your new, unbroken body, standing among the Angels. So run fast, and fly high.... and until we meet again.... "Godspeed Brother Man.... Godspeed...."
