John and I go back a solid 35 years plus. We were workmates at Hilton Hotels in their design department. We bonded over a love of design and all things beautiful and over the years I came to see him the brother I never had. He consistently made everyone smile- from the valet to the busboy to the waiter to the owner of the place. He had charm to spare and he exhibited a level of grace that I will always aspire to. I love you John. I will miss our lunches and our discussions on design, life and all things beautiful. It will not be as fun to grow old without you in my life... but if heaven does exist and if that is where you ended up, please renovate the place for the rest of us so that when we eventually show up, as we all will, we don't have hassle over the gilded gates and pearly anything and can settle back in a Barcelona Chair and catch up over a smoky Old Fashioned. Rest in peace my brave wonderful friend.

He was teaching a class I was in. Then he was looking for someone to do some 3d modeling for him and he chose me out of everyone in school and out. He was a great example for me to follow.
