John G. Verret

John G. Verret 62, a loving father, grandfather and dear friend to all that knew him. A resident of Baton Rouge, La., a long time resident of Bridgeport, CT., and native of New Orleans, La. He passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at Baton Rouge General Hospital. John leaves to cherish his loving memory, (3) daughters Sonyamarie Atkinson-Ruiz (Hector), Markita Verret, and Wanda Verret, (2) sons, John O. Verret and Jerome "Lucky" Verret, (2) sisters Renee Ellison (Bernard) and Scherelyn Brown-Davis, (2) nieces Raquel Smith and Terrene' Ellison (11) grandchildren, Trumaine, Octavia, Alaisha, Kitana, Jhoaell, Dashawn, Tyrone, Tyrell, John Jr., Ja'Kyra and Jer' Ryan. Ex-Wife Gwendolyn Verret, uncles Fred White (Hester) and Henry White, a host of cousins, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his mother Jean W. Ellison, Ex-Wife Inez Verret-Boyd, (2) uncles, Therman White and Marion White. Family viewing at 11:00AM.Saturday, January 26, 2013.
