John Edward Voigt

John Edward Voigt passed away peacefully at his home on July 1, 2011. He was born on March 26, 1951 in Ogden, Utah to William Frank Voigt and Fontella Ruth Coy. He married Diane Love Voigt and later Divorced. He worked and retired from Hill Air Force Base. It was easy for John to make a lot of lifetime friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Together they also liked making music in his home. John treasured and cared for his dogs. He is survived by his son John Voigt, daughter Denise Voigt, brother Joseph F. (Julie) Voigt, sister Frances (Tom) Olesen and sister Jeanie (Dale) Child. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews that loved him. A Memorial Service for John will be held 11 am Tuesday July 5, 2011 at Leavitt’s Mortuary 836 36th street in Ogden. Friends may meet the family from 10 to 10:45am preceding the services. The family would like to give a special thanks to Legacy Hospice especially Marie, Shauna for their care and compassion for John. We would also like to give thanks to his special niece, Jennifer.
