John Vermont Watson, 68, passed away on November 14, 2017. He was born in Spartanburg, SC to the late John E. and Wynette Watson. John was the owner and operator of the tire and retread store located off interstate 95 in Benson, NC.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Amy Carter and husband James of Richlands; best friend of 22 years, Ann Thornley of Garner; brother Charles Watson of Raleigh; sister Vera Lagattuta and husband Bill of New Mexico: daughter-in-law Tommie Watson of Franklinton; 2 grandchildren Dusty and Kayla Watson; and 2 nephews Luke Lagattuta and Jake Watson. He was predeceased by his son Christopher James Watson.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC. Condolences at MitchellatRMP.com
