John Westbrook Obituary
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, at Bridges Funeral Home in Gray. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, graveside at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens.
Mr. Westbrook was born April 17, 1925, in Bradford County, Pa., and had lived in Jones County for the twenty-six years before moving to Towanda, Pa. three years ago. He was the son of the late John Harold Westbrook and Arilla Strope Westbrook. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for A & D Asphalt Company and was preceded in death by his wife: Pauline House Westbrook; and by two sons: Donnie Westbrook and John "Butch" Westbrook.
Mr. Westbrook is survived by his daughters: Ginny Vaughn of Macon, Birdie Faulkner of Gordon and Pat Coleman of Warren Center, Pa.; son: Bob Westbrook of Towanda, Pa.; sister: Edith Andrus of Towanda, Pa.; nine grandchildren and by his six great-grandchildren.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Mrs. Ginny Vaughn at 195 Greystone Circle in Jones County.

TO MY SECOND FAMILY,
I HAVE LOVED PAPA JOHN AND MA FROM THE FIRST DAY I EVER MET THEM, 34 YEARS AGO. I MET THEM SHORTLY AFTER THE LOSS OF MY MOTHER. IT WAS LIKE GOD SENT THEM TO ME. THEY WERE ALWAYS THERE FOR ME DURING THICK AND THIN. I DON'T THINK I COULD HAVE LOVED THEM ANY MORE THAN IF THEY WERE MY OWN. I GREATLY SHARE IN YOUR LOSS. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL OF YOU. BIRDIE AND JINNY, I MISS ALL OUR GOOD TIMES TOGETHER. WE SURE HAVE BEEN THROUGH SOME TIMES. I LOVE YOU ALL.
