JOHN H. WHITE

I spent 31 years at Reed Smith thanks to John White who hired a very green kid out of college. Together we learned what the role of a paralegal should be. He was a brilliant lawyer, a great mentor and, most importantly, a kind human being. I learned so many lessons from this man. One of the "John-isms" (and there were a few) that I have always remembered, and it has served me well over the years when dealing with difficult folks, is "full heart, empty head". I loved watching him turn on his "Pittsburgh country lawyer" charm and then out negotiate every big firm NY lawyer he dealt with - but he was always fair and professional. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have worked with John. God speed.
