John Houston Withers

I am so sorry to learn of John´s passing. I worked for John in the early years of his practice with Martin, Harrison & Withers. He was a kind and supportive boss, drawn to procedure and details and excellent at explaining things to a greenhorn secretary. In later years John helped me through several difficult times, always being supportive and patient. And he always worked his magic to make things work out. His manner was gentlemanly but his voice commanded the courtroom. He valued his family above all else. I was very proud to have worked with him and known him for many many years. He was truly one of a kind and his smile and deep booming laugh will stay with me forever.

What a great attorney! Gracious man, admired by many.

Was just thinking about my attorney and came across this! I had to kind of smile, because he added so much to my life and my children's. For some reason, I thought he was tough enough to beat anything! He got me through the worst part of my life. I will never forget him and how he beamed when I ask about his son and grandson.

We are very sorry to learn of your loss. May you find comfort in knowing that God collects our tears and is ready to sustain us during our time of need - Psalm 56:8.

My heart is broken as I am sure your familys is as well. Thank you for saving my life; thank you for your friendship; and, thank you for the kindness you reflected every day. Condolences to your family, I know they miss you.

John Withers was a wonderful lawyer, but more importantly a great man. He helped me through some dark days. Love and prayers to family.
