John James Wollenman

John James Wollenman (Jimmie) was born on October 26, 1936 in Fullerton California, to John and Bernardine Wollenman. He passed from this life on February 12, 2025 in Tulare California.

Jimmie was raised in Southern California and moved to Three Rivers in 1947 where he lived for the remainder of his life. He attended Three Rivers Grammar School and graduated from Redwood High school, in 1957, where he learned the leather crafting skills that he used to create beautiful, belts, purses, wallets, and much more.

Throughout his life, Jimmie faced many physical hurdles but despite being born with Cerebral Palsy he faced every day with a positive attitude and a happy, friendly disposition.

He was a 60-year member of the Three Rivers Lions Club and belonged to the High Sierra Jazz Club and Saint Clair's Catholic Church. Jimmie also enjoyed many memorable outings with the Three Rivers Travel Club.

In addition to his leather work, Jimmie enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, assembling model cars, playing poker and watching classic movies.

Jimmie is survived by his sister, Barbara Delgado; his niece Nikki Gibler (Jerry), nephews, Jody Hanggi (Esther) and John Hanggi (Kris); great nieces and nephews, Jennifer Lawrence, Cassandra Pierro, Daniel Gibler and Courtney Hanggi; great great nephew, Ethan and great great niece Saidee.

Mass Service will be held on February 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony Retreat.
