Dear Beverly, Susan, Deborah, Gail and Steven,

It is with much sadness that we learned of your dear father's passing.
Dr. John Yashar will be missed.
A few years ago Sattar and I had the pleasure of sharing time with your father in our home and in his Jamestown home. It was a gift, as we always enjoyed being in his bright and engaging company. The stories that he shared of his early life in Tehran were told with such vivid recollection and joy.
We reminisced of the past as neighbors and shared heartfelt memories of your wonderful mother. We will always remember how your parents welcomed our young family when we moved into our home just next to yours. We are grateful to have known your father and your mother.

May you find peace in your memories.

Our deepest condolences,

Marjorie and Sattar Memon

His neighbors on Highland Drive in Jamestown, send condolences to John's family. We miss Audrey and John but know they are probably happy together, once again.

Like many others, I too worked with Dr. John Yashar and his brother James in the cardiac surgical suite at the Miriam Hospital. Dr. John was a patient and learned surgeon with the finest of skills. I recall many cases working with him in the odd hours of the night. He was a wonderful human being. My sincerest condolences to Dr. Yashar's family. May he R.I.P.
Regards, Dianne (Erban) Civalier.

To the Yashar family:
My most heartfelt sympathy upon the death of Dr John.
He was a remarkable man and physician. My brother Chip had the privilege of being trained by both Drs. John and James at the Miriam Hospital and then assisted them in the operating room. Chip , passed away in 2007, but always spoke so highly of the Yashars. Dr John also performed emergency surgery on my dear father. I will never forget the kindness and reassurance given to our family after such a lengthy operation.
May Dr John, Rest In peace, and his family find comfort in the days to come remembering him with all great love and memories you all shared together.

I did not know him but knew OF both he and his brother from my sister who always worked for doctors.
Reading the obituary I knew had I needed his specialty I definitely would have chosen him.
Rest in peace, Dr. Yashar.

Vicki Lemberg and Harvey Rabinovitz join those both family and friends who mourn John's passing. Our first New Year's in Florida was spent with John and Audrey. The culmination of the evening was John and Audrey belly dancing to his beloved country's music.
He always beamed, as he should, when talking about his wonderful children and grandchildren. He told us a great story about him bringing home camping gear. Audrey's response as retold by John was "Jewish families don't go camping."
After Audrey passed away, we took John often to one of his favorite restaurants Bone Fish Grill.
Harvey recalls their original poker game with their BallenIsles cronies. His loved the arts and respected his religious beliefs.
May he be united in peace with the love of his life, Audrey.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Shalom, dear John may you rest in eternal peace
