I met John when I was living at Imperial Gardens in Clearwater. I used to walk around the complex and one day he said hello and we talked. Eventually he moved in the apt. across from me. John was a wonderful man and friend. He helped me out in so many ways when I was injured. When he married Freda, I spent time with them at their apt. and out to dinner. I can't say enough wonderful things about both John and Freda. When I moved away, we still kept in touch. I remember John always saying to me "one day at a time", "the working man's mass", referring to the early, shorter mass, and "piece of cake". He had such a positive attitude. I still miss him so much and know he is entertaining them on the other side- Janice Troia

To John's Family:
I wanted give you our deepest condolences. I worked with John way back at MITRE. John was a very kind, intelligent man. John always took his time to listen to you and also was someone to go to when you needed advice, and a great boss. He was very unique in that sense and there will never be another person like him. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

I have known John my whole life! My father was friends with him in high school. My happiest day was when I found him again after 26 of losing touch. He was still the awesome Dad I remembered and I was lucky enough to have him as a step-dad. He was/is a wonderful man with lots of love, compassion and commitment to his family as he has been for as long as I can remember. He will be sorely missed everyday but grateful that my mom and Dad had a chance at love together. I love you Dad!! Sending you love and hugs. I love you too mom and I am here if ever you need me.

I've known John for 55 years. He is someone who has dedicated his life to serving others. He has always put others first, he truly believed that, "there, but for the grace of God - go I". He set an example for others how to live their lives. I have been blessed having known him. The world is a little colder without his warmth. Everyone can feel a little safer known that he's watching over all of us.
