JOHN ZAWACKI Obituary
On May 23, 2010, age 86, of the North Side. Born September 4, 1923 in Pittsburgh. Beloved husband of the late Twyla (Whitlock) Zawacki; loving father of Barbara Zawacki and Bob (Kathy) Zawacki; devoted grandfather of Michael and Julie Zawacki; brother of Chester Zawacki. Uncle John or Grandad John was also a favorite of many nieces, nephews and extended family members. John was also preceded in death by his parents John Sr., and Mary Szeferiniak Zawacki, and siblings Jean Adametz, Frances Tylenda, and Francis Zawacki. He was a WWII veteran, and lifelong member of Teamsters Union Local 249. Friends will be received Wednesday from 3-9PM at SPERLING FUNERAL HOME, 700 Blazier Drive, McCandless 724-933-9200. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday at Incarnation of the Lord Parish at 10 AM. Memorial contribution may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pgh, PA 15212. Dear Bob, Kathy, Barbara, Mike and Julie,
I am so sorry to hear about John's death. He is with his beloved Twyla now. Twyla and John were two of the nicest, sweetest people ever born. John was always so friendly and caring and it was a pleasure to know him. He was a gentleman and his son, Bob, and his grandson, Mike, are following his example.
Barbara was so good to John. He adored her. His last years were spent with Barb at his side taking care of his every need.
Know that you are all my "family" and I will be praying for you and loving you. God Bless You, Aunt Jeanie
