I had the honor and privilege to host John and the Miniature White House in Texas and California. He was such a professional. I only wish I had the opportunity to introduce him to my son (Colt was born the night before the opening of the display in Texas) and now my Grandson, Wyatt who loves all things miniature. Prayers and hugs to the family.

Just wanted to share that my husband and I had the pleasure of seeing the miniature White House at the Reagan library years ago. I cannot put into words how wonderful and amazing this was especially for me. What love and artistry a gift beyond priceless. My condolences to the family and reminding you all how he will be remembered by many like myself who remember his passion and talent.

I felt blessed to have had the opportunity to see his White House. I'm a fan of the WH itself and being a miniaturist I felt doubly blessed.

John was an original and I have never met anyone else quite like him. His creative mind always seemed to be churning, thinking of not just the next project, but the next dozen projects. Always of the future. We had a great, fun conversation on Christmas Eve, shared stories and had lots of laughs. I am so sorry we won’t have another.

Our deepest sympathies to John and Jan's families for your losses.
John and I have worked on some of his models and displays in the House of Presidents.
I valued his expertise and help with the model train we worked on for Give Kids The World.

We were so sorry to know that John passed away December 30. Dan Stapleton was nice enough to notify us. We had Jan and John at our music building for CFA meetings and parties. We also enjoyed their big 60th anniversary party. So much fun!! I helped John get Jan's gift ready for presentation. I was honored to help. We will miss them both very much. Glad we got to see and talk to John at the last CFA party December 6. Our prayers and sympathy go out to all the members of the family. Cyndy and Bill

Deepest sympathies to the family, first Janet, Now John. Very very sad-what a hard year. Last spoke with John -and visited the museum- in November. John was the second person I met when I moved to Florida almost 29 years ago. I considered him a dear and valued friend. First and foremost, he was the dictionary definition of a patriot, but he was also an innovator, a creator, and a dedicated dreamer. I will miss him immensely. I am happy to know he is in a better place, and that he didn't have to see January 6th. God speed John, Janet is waiting for you. Amen. -Edward Meyer'
