Johnnie Lee Jackson Funeral services for Johnnie Lee Jackson, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Willie Ansley, pastor of Greater New Hope Holy Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. Jackson died Sunday, June 17, 2006, at Plainview Healthcare Center. He was born Jan. 10, 1922, in Kenney to Simon and Charity Jackson. He came to Plainview in 1937 from Slaton and attended the Greater New Hope Holy Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Paul Jackson of Amarillo, Johnny Jackson Jr. of San Angelo and Peter Ledger of Amarillo; one brother, Freddie "Sonny" Jackson of Plainview; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Johnny Jackson was indeed a good man, he was a caring, sharing and

giving person, I shall always remember the spirit of giving

that he possessed.



You didn't see him in church every Sunday, but on Monday his demeanor was more godly than other who was in church on Sundays, it isn't just what you do on Sunday, it more important what you do on Monday, "It better well done, than

well said".



Johnny blessed me tremendously during my tenure in Plainview, he always share with me in words and in deeds, "one kind deed is better than a lot of kind of words".



To the Jackson Family we're praying for you, May God bless you is our prayers.
