Caldwell - Johnny Lester Horn, 77, Caldwell, died Thursday, September 23, 2021 at his home of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 10: a.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 1122 W. Linden St. Caldwell, Idaho. Viewing and rosary will start one hour before at the church. Burial will follow at Lower Boise Cemetery.

Johnny was born Sept. 16, 1944 in Caldwell, Idaho the son of Lester L. and Mildred Horn. His Dad worked on the El Paso Natural gas line while it was constructed throughout areas of the country. Thus, Johnny proudly spoke of school years and grade school friends from Idaho to Arizona to Texas.

Johnny served in the military during the years of Vietnam and the Cuban Crisis. Military life instilled in him a deep desire to protect and serve. This desire eventually led him to start a security company which he strongly felt was a needed value in our community. He has owned and proudly operated CAN.-ADA SECURITY for over 33 years. He grew and operated CAN.-ADA SECURITY into a multi-state business and one of the largest privately owned security companies in the state of Idaho. His security officers became like family and their short and long term service remain highly valued. His sons continue in the management of the business and remain proud to serve the security needs of business owners.

Johnny married Patricia O'Connor at St. John's Cathedral in Boise, Idaho on July 1, 1972. They celebrated 49 years together and had been looking forward to the 50 year celebration.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Mildred Horn, his sister, Kathy, his brother Rick and a step brother Norris.

Johnny is survived by his wife Patricia and their 5 children: Johnny M. (Lorissa) of Boise; Christopher M. (Amy) of Phoenix AZ; Jarret M. (Theresa) of Boise; Jennifer White (Josh) of Nampa; Kimberly Wingo (Travis) of Meridian and 28 very precious grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers: Dusty Horn of Nampa and Scott Horn of Tulsa Oklahoma.

Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to those of service to our community such as police, fire, paramedics or "Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church." A special thanks to those medical and police personnel as well as Fr. Mike St. Marie who assisted our family the night of Johnny's passing.
