On the anniversary of his death, now 4 years later I can't say that it has gotten better, but it has gotten easier. My papaw was an amazing loving man. I feel I was sad he gave me M&M's. At night we would sit out on the porch and eat them out of little plastic bowls (I normally wanted the blue one) and we would watch one of my favorite shows at the time. He'd let me stand up and dance and sing when the songs came on Ant Farm or when the Good Luck Charlie theme song came on. He once married me off to a broom (multiple times) and he was the only one who had faith in the Eve Tree. That tree now grows in front of his house and when I see it, I see myself as a little girl, planting a stick in the ground and only putting ice on it. I will forever miss you, your laughs, your neck sugar, and I promise. I won't get rid of our chair. One day we can put the arm covers over our heads once again. I love you papaw. And I will hunk about you all the time. Forever and always. I miss you more than words can describe. I know you would just LOVE the wonderful people that your other grandkids turned out to be as well. I work to make you proud every day

Johnny and I worked together for many years and after we both left remained friends. We had a lot of good times and he will be missed, but not forgotten. I was glad to be able to call him my friend.
