Johnny Morgan, Sr. Obituary
Johnny was a dedicated member of the Gary community, where he served as Deputy Sheriff under Mayor Richard Hatcher. He also had a long and distinguished career at MidWest Steel, retiring after more than thirty years of service.
A Home Going celebration will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Jerusalem Branch Baptist Church in Salley, South Carolina. For further details, please contact J.H. Robinson Funeral Home at 190 Railroad Avenue in Wagener, South Carolina, at (803) 546-5623.

Research indicates girls who have a father who is present in their lives, tend to be more assured of themselves, have healthier relationships, are strong emotional well-beings and a host of other attributes. Although I never met Mr. Morgan, you are genuine, honest, and a beautiful woman which you can thank BOTH parents for! Know these days may be difficult, as the hurt of such a tremendous loss is significant, yet, because you were blessed to have a loving father who was present in your life, he lives through you and I along with your family and friends benefit because of it! I am deeply saddened by the passing of Johnny Morgan Sr., the beloved father of my dear friend Ty. He was a true family man. Strong, supportive and always present for those he loved. A straight shooter with a quick wit, he had a way of making people laugh while also offering wisdom and honesty. Beneath his big presence was a tender heart, one that cared deeply for his family and friends. His warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be dearly missed, but his legacy lives on in the lives he touched.
