Johnny Lee Murray, 39, born August 22, 1968, in Longview, Texas, to Homer Murray and Sherry Satterwhite, passed from this life on August 17, 2008, in Longview.
Johnny was a member of Parkway Racquet Club, and he worked for Anvil Products for more than 18 years. He was a body builder and won the Novice Heavyweight Division of the Mr. Longview competition in 2005.
Johnny leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Suzette La Roque Murray; stepson, Roger Seelbach; parents, Homer and Jean Murray, and Sherry Satterwhite; brother, Jerry Murray; sisters, Samantha Murray See and husband, Stephen, and Sabrina Murray; father and mother-in-law, Roger and Donna La Roque; sister-in-law, Danielle Huff; brothers-in-law, Don La Roque, Cordis La Roque, David La Roque, and Ryan La Roque; special aunt, Tammy Jean Murray; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at the Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tommy Brasher officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. All services are under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening, August 19, 2008, at Lakeview Funeral Home.

Im just now finding out about Johnny leaving us. I too worked with him at anvil in the late 90s, was always a good guy in my book.

I worked with Johnny for 11yrs at Anvil. He was a very loving and caring person,who would do anything for anyone. Johnny's funny sayings and smiling face will be deeply missed. My prayers are with you and your family as you all go through this tough time.

Johnny had one of the sweetest souls...He and I became friends through school and I was always happy to run into him in Longview. Johnny was a great friend and will be greatly missed. It's been years since I've talked to him, but even still I'm happy to have been his friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. May God's peace sustain you always.
