I really wanted to write to say that with the passing of George Jones, it made me think of Mr Paycheck and what good buddies they were, now up there singing in the angel band. My Mama loved the song, Don't Take Her, and played it so many times during my childhood. Now as an adult, I have to say, she had good taste in music.God bless .

RIP Johnny and my condolences to his family at this sad time...his music has brought joy to many people and I was fortunate to see him perform both in Staten Island and in New York City at the Lone Star Cafe (where he kindly signed his "Modern Times" LP for me after the show). Johnny Paycheck was one of my favorite Country Music Singers. I especially loved his songs Take This Job and Shove It and Me and the IRS. I deal with the IRS on a daily basis and several of my tax clients feel that this song fits them to a "T". May the Lord bless his family.

I am so sorry to hear that you have passed.I am sure you and Waylon will be playing together in heaven. You both were my favorites.I remember when you showed up at Tommy's place in Manassas Va unanounced. That was on of the best memories I have. I was the door man there and I called all the local bars to get them to pack it with standing room only. You played for a couple of hours. I was fantastic. My father and mother are also in heaven and you were one of there favorites also along with Waylon. You will be sorely missed.Rest in peace Mr Paycheck.

Another of our great singers are gone that truly sang country songs. There aren't many of them left. Mostly now is watered-down rock-and-roll, or hollering. God Bless you for not changing, Johnny Paycheck. You were truly great, and admired by many.

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of such a great legand. Ienjoyed his music very much and throughly enjoyed the concert he gave in our small town a few years back. I can relate to a few of his songs espically "I'm The Only Hell My Momma Ever Raised" and "Take This Job And Shove It". Tahnks for the great songs and memories. Joe
