My first memory of Johnny and Zulean goes with my first memory of the Poynor reunions. I recall watching Johnny and Zulean dancing at the Telephone Lodge on Lake Brownwood.
I trust Zulean and her entire family will find comfort in their faith as stated in Saint Paul's 1st. letter to the Thessalonians, Chapter 4 verses 13-18.

My first memory of Johnny was when he married my beloved cousin Zulean. I was younger, she was my idol and was so kind to me, and I thought I had lost her forever. I cried a lot at their wedding. But later years proved to me that indeed Johnny was an all-right cousin. We will all miss him. Joan Horton Kerr
