Dear Aunt MaryAnne,
I just leaned about Uncle Jon's passing a few days ago. I am so sorry. I think about the two of you often, and wanted to let you know the year my sister Debbie and I spent with you both in Michigan when I was 12 was the best year of my childhood.
In my memory, Uncle Jon was always good-humored and light-hearted. I remember shining his shoes sometimes, and I think he liked an occasional foot massage--is that right? Sometimes I would make a 4-inch thick Dagwood sandwich for lunch and he would tease me about having a tapeworm!
I thank you both for all the love and generosity you gave me that year. Send me an e-mail sometime if you feel like talking:
My address is: [email protected]
XO, Lynda
