I was sorry to hear of Jon's illness and passing. I worked with him many years ago on committees and boards at Stennis. He was very kind hearted and diplomatic. I always remember him starting meetings with the phrase "you may recall" to lead into making sure everyone was on the same page. My deepest sympathies to you all.

Ms. Kitsey and Family,

It totally breaks my heart that Jon is no longer with us. Being his secretary at NASA for a number of years, I came to understand what the true meaning of the word "gentleman" was. Jon was a true gentleman to all and treated everyone he met with the utmost dignity and respect. He also had the most elegant way with words and would make us all feel important. He was loved by many, and will be missed by all. I sincerely pray that memories of good times you and the family spent with him will take the place of sorrow in your hearts. He truly loved you all. God Bless.

Gary
We are very sad to hear of your loss. It was an honor meeting your father and getting to know him in Sonoma during the wedding festivities in 2005.
