As Julius and Davida`s oldest grandson and the oldest son of Jon Sandler`s brother Daniel I have a lot of great memories of Jon starting with when he would visit home with Kay from Michigan, then and even after they first moved back to Maryland Jon was always more like a big kid taking to the floor to help me put together toys I received for birthdays and Chanukah. I think he was the one who picked me up and got my head hit by the fan, an accident that was Sandler family folk lore for many years. After my dad (Daniel) became sick and then after he passed in 94 Jon and Alan both did their best to help me out of whatever jams I got myself into. He never dwelled on the things I had gotten myself into. The last time I saw Jon was a little over a decade ago. I had gotten into something and I was beside myself. I had gone to Judean Gardens to find my dad and talk to him but there was snow all over the ground. Frustrated I called Jon at his office. It may have been the tone of my voice or the sound of desperation but he dropped what he was doing in Ellicott City and came out to Olney to help me find my dad. That was the kind of man he was. I`m working through the hardest time of my life right now and I know my dad, my grandpa Julius and My uncle Jon are all watching me. With Love, Kyle G. Sandler.
