Jonathan Andrew Allee

Jonathan Andrew Allee was born on Dec 9th, 1971 to Nancy and Lawrence Allee. He was younger brother to Marc, and big brother to Matt and Heather.

Even as a child, Jon had an immediate calling to help others. He's the one his parents and siblings would ask when they needed a hand or someone got hurt. Jon even took pride in doing the "dirty" jobs, such as rescuing his siblings from spiders. This is how Heather gave him the nickname "Bubby bugs."

Jon loved to stay busy, striving to balance fun with the spirit of service. As a teen, he played percussion in the Greenfield Central High School band and participated in the swim team and theatre. He became a lifeguard at the age of 16 and then an EMT during his senior year, where he worked for several ambulance services in the community. After graduating from high school, Jon served his country in the US Army. He then studied nursing at IUPUI and earned a theology degree from World Harvest Bible College in 1996. In 1997, Jon began working in real estate and became an owner and broker of the family business, Indiana Central Homes. While he found the real estate field invigorating, Jon continued to feel called to the helping professions, so he became licensed as a CNA. Years later, he also served as a special education instructional assistant with the Hamilton Heights school district.

Jon's activities and roles exemplified his servant heart. However, his most cherished role was that of loving and committed father to Josiah and Grace. Jon helped ensure they had access to plenty of activities. He encouraged them to try new things, especially activities that helped foster character and leadership, such as 4-H. Jon could be seen cheering on his kids at sporting events, livestock shows and other activities with a huge smile on his face.

Jon was a man of faith. Throughout his adult life, Jon served several churches as a youth minister, associate pastor and chaplain. He had a gift of presence and empathy. He ensured people felt seen and cared for, especially during the most difficult moments of their lives. When someone was looking for a helper, they could dependably find it in Jon.

Jon's servant heart, contagious smile and loving energy will be missed by all.
