Jonathan Harold Bricker

Asheville - Jonathan Harold Bricker, 52, of Asheville, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at his residence.

Born in NY to Judah Bricker and the late Ruth Nilsen Bricker, he attended Chapel Hill High School and the University of Oregon. He received a Master's Degree in Economics at the University of Tennessee. He was an instructor of Economics at A.B. Tech Community College. He was a very gifted educator who loved teaching, enjoyed music, and was a gifted bass guitar player, sharing his love for this with his daughter and attending concerts with his wife.

Survivors other than his father are his wife, Vicky Bricker; daughter, Cassidy Bricker of Asheville; sister, Elizabeth Bolen of Siler City; nieces, Josie and Ellie Scott and Tiegan Soria and nephew Gavin Suits; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Sandra Scott of Burlington, and brother-in-law, Anderson Scott (Laura) of Winston Salem.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the home in Asheville, Sunday, February 16 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Hawfields Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mebane, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Asheville Music School Student Scholarships, 126 College St., Asheville, NC, 28801.

Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the family and the online memorial is available at grocefuneralhome.com

Jonathan was an awesome individual. Such a fun fellow. He gave me great parenting advice. He will really be missed.
