With my deepest heartfelt sympathy to the entire family. I just heard today upon my return to Cleveland less then a week ago. This is the last thing I ever thought I'd hear.
The world has lost another very special person. May he rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Just know that as I drove through our neighborhood, it was always a treasured moment when something new appeared in your yard. You have a friend near by.

I am deeply saddened by your loss. Jon was so cool, killer handsome and a great person. His spirit will be smiling down upon us always.

Jon lived his life at the intersection of Loveable and Cool. A completely engaging person--I cannot think of him and not smile. He and I were both fans of the old comedy team, Burns and Schreiber, and used to try to imitate their hilarious taxicab routine. When Avery Schreiber died, a few years ago, I tried to find Jon, to go through that bit again. I hope they're kibitzing now. What a good soul.

For the Chesler Family, I have known Jonny and Isabella for 44 years...ever since Jonny and I were dear friends at Beachwood High. I have always had a very special place in my heart for the Chesler family. They always represented class...cool...culture...fun...and beauty. There was always Jonny with his "good soul!" Jonny was an exquisite human being and I am so saddened by this devastating loss. My heart goes out to Barrie (who reminded me of Jackie O when I met her the other evening), stunning children, loving and beautiful Isabella, David and Michael. I hope that Jonathan Marc Chesler is in a better place. You are all in my prayers... Sherry Miller Blackman

Dear Barrie, Sascha, and Tommy,
I am so sad to learn about Jon. Our friendship since high school has always kept Jonny in my thoughts. Every time I would mention his name or see him I would smile with the contentment of knowing someone special is in my world. I will continue to feel this way for the rest of my life. His spirit will always create a warm and comforting place in my heart. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

I was surprised and saddened to hear of Jon's death. I was a childhood friend of his. My condolences to his family and friends.

Dear Barrie, Sascha and Tommy,

I was so saddened to hear of Jon's passing. He was an extraordinary person whom I have held dear to my heart for over forty years.

Always a good friend he shared many of his interests with me that I have enjoyed for a lifetime. I still listen to Segovia and Bream and have too many antiques. And of course I will always remember his great taste, personal style and sense of humor.

You and the children must be heartbroken. I know how much he loved his family and how proud he was of Sascha and Tommy.
