Son, today 3 of your cousins are coming over to celebrate your life with Dad and me. One of the things we will do to celebrate you while we are together is to create a small bonfire in the area where you and Carla once created a memorable bonfire together. Miss you are just words, my heart aches with longing to see you, to hug you. You and I talk all the time. You still start your conversations with, "Mom, blah, blah, blah. You are loved and missed. See you soon, Mom

I just discovered this sad news while on the West Point Association of Graduates site. Jonathan was a plebe (freshmen) in my West Point unit (Company B3 Bandits) while I was a junior. Jonathan was one of those cadets who always volunteered and got involved, regardless how stressful the West Point challenge was. He was a positive force among his classmates and respected by the upperclassmen. We were also on the B3 Sandhurst team together. Sandhurst is an annual military skills competition and each company provides a team of 8 (must have at least one member of each class). He was one of three freshmen who volunteered. Have several photos of him and his classmates during Sandhurst and other milestone events. Plebes generally aren't allowed to wander around taking photos. He is missed.

The good things I could say about Jonathan and his parents/sisters are countless. He was such a fine young man that my father recommended him to West Point, and he was the epitome of a cadet. He made the entire Corley family proud and we do and always will miss him. The world seems a lot darker and colder without his personality and brilliant smile.

Jonathan was such a great guy. He was a year older than me and school and always treated me so sweetly. He always had a big smile on his face. Just a good guy!

My dear friend, you are missed by many. I think back to our school days and how fun life was for us all. You were always so dear to me and my family. You may not be here on earth, but you're forever in my heart. Thank you for being you.
Much love,
Molly

Jonathan I miss you more than I can say. I think of you all the time and miss you regularly as I always did. I remember our camping trips, how we loved to watch ballgames together and when we could not be together I loved our phone calls to discuss what our teams did and what they should have done. I will love you always and forever. Dad

Son, a friend reminded me this week that we did not lose you because when we look to God you are there beside Him. There is much comfort in knowing that "once saved - always saved" and that you are there with the One who loves you more than we can even imagine...only imagine.

All children are a Gift From God. I wanted a baby boy from the beginning. I met a baby boy at our neighborhood nursery who always raised his arms to be picked up when I came in. His name was Jonathan and I loved the name and the little boy I picked up each day. We decided to call you Johnathan and later discovered the name stood for "Gift From God". Son, you completed our family. You were quicksilver, you were fun, you were bright, you were courteous, you have always been loved and always will be. Your face, words, events, memories are even more precious now. You are everywhere in this house, the woods, the town and I hear your words from the past echo in my being. One day we will all be together again in God's Perfect Home prepared for his children. Your sisters and Dad and I love you and miss you so much.

You were by first best friend. We were so much alike - and therefore, would butt heads. But I love you dearly - and will always...always strive to be the best parts of you. I miss you terribly, Bud - know I love you so so much!
