When a loved one leaves it is never easy for those left behind. But we have much to look forward to when we have that Doerr reunion in heaven. Jon, you are and will be missed very much.

Jon, I wonder if they have volleyball up in Heaven! One of my favorite stories I tell about you is when I played between you and Dave and all three of us went in the air for a spike and I remember thinking I would become a Doerr sandwich! We need a rematch! See ya someday up there!

Jon, You are greatly missed. We love you so much and know you are in heaven right now. You are probably building a large deck on the back of your mansion. Eating Pudges hoagies. Thanks for everything you have taught us and how much you loved us. You will always be in our thoughts.
