JONATHAN ROBERT LEAR

Jonathan Robert Lear, 56, of Dana Point, CA passed away on May 26, 2010 after a long illness from lung and respiratory disease. He was born in San Diego, CA on September 7, 1953 and grew up in El Centro, CA.
Jon had various interests and was always full of adventure. He enjoyed life and making people laugh. He especially enjoyed his step grandchildren, Carla and Oscar, and spent much time with them.
He is survived by his wife, Florencia Lear of Dana Point, CA; his mother, Betty Lear of San Diego, CA; his father and stepmother, Robert and Marlene Lear of Imperial, CA; sister, Janet Lear Bassler (Ken) of San Diego, CA; brother, Brett Lear (Pamela) of San Diego, CA; stepsister, Lori Lee (Jerry) of Anchorage, Ak; stepbrother, Larry Weatherwax (Donna) of Commerce City, CO; and nine nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Lear (1951 - 1953) of El Centro, CA.
The family suggests memorials be donated to the Lung Association; American Cancer Society; or Alzheimer's Association.
Cremation will take place at the O'Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills, CA. A memorial service will be held at San Felipe De Jesus Church in Dana Point, CA and dates are pending.

Our prayers are with all of you. Although we had never met Jon, we felt that we knew him very well because of Bob & Marlene. Mom really cared so much for Jon. He was always very kind to her. We know that Jon will be missed. He is at peace now with our loving God. We love you so much.

So sorry to hear about Jon.He and I go way back.I have not heard from him since the 80s.He will be missed. Prayers go out to all his family.
